About 6 months ago, I decided to discontinue my personal blog over at shaunacallaghan.com. I felt pretty good about the decision and, honestly, didn’t miss it too much. But something about working with bloggers and not having a blog has felt sacrilegious. I have recently decided that I will do a little blogging here on SMD (and I pulled all of my old personal posts over here). I hope to bring you some helpful tools and tips as well as give you a little glimpse in my life. (Most of that information will be less than exciting, but whatever).
Let me give you some insight into why I have had such a tumultuous relationship with blogging over the years.
- I am not a writer…so when I sit down to write a post – it takes me FOREVER!
- I am fairly particular about where I spend my time. Being a work-from-home mom, it’s easy for the work-mom boundaries to cross paths…just a constant struggle and blogging falls pretty low on the priority list.
- Did I say it takes me forever to write a post? Guess how long I have been sitting here??
- I often feel like I don’t have much exciting going on. That’s not true, really – I am just bad at writing it down.
So, now you know.
I am going to start with trying to write a post (or 2) a week. My goal is to have 1 of those posts be tips on blogging or WordPress tools.
Wish me luck! And thanks for coming along for the journey!
